20th Television is a prominent television studio whose shows have included: ABBOTT ELEMENTARY, GREY’S ANATOMY, HIGH POTENTIAL, ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING, NEW GIRL, MODERN FAMILY, THIS IS US, 9-1-1, BAD SISTERS, and many more. As the Disney Television studio, we work with the top talent across the industry and curate programming for our five exciting network partners (FX, Hulu, ABC, Disney+, Onyx), and beyond. This internship opportunity requires full-time availability for the duration of the program. The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through December 2025. This internship reports directly to the Drama and Comedy Development Coordinators. A cover letter indicating your interest in the 20th Television Development Intern, Summer/Fall 2025 position is required.
What You Will Do
As a 20th Television Development Intern, you will work alongside an innovative team and have the opportunity to sit in and shadow department meetings. We are a high-volume television studio, so interns will be encouraged to tackle reading assignments and join in on our conversations about material. The development team takes pride in articulating their thoughts about material in a professional way in order to conduct business. You will gain insight into the creative development process firsthand and work on your pitching skills as we discuss books, scripts and projects as a team. We aim to be the tastemakers of the industry, so we encourage our interns to share what breakout talent, genres and/or books spark curiosity for our interns, so we can continue to break boundaries with our storytelling.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Supporting the department with administrative duties
Providing script and book coverage
Conducting research projects
Cutting incoming pilot/series dailies
Assisting with desk coverage and scheduling
Updating lists and grids
Required Qualifications & Skills
Strong curiosity in reading – strong research skills
Strong written and verbal skills and an ability to analyze story
Passion for the TV landscape
Strong attention to detail
Capable of handling confidential information
Previous experience working in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Previous entertainment internship experience (ie. Agency, Management Company, Production Company, studio/network)
Education
Students studying in their Senior year of their Bachelor Degree preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization

Fully available from Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm PT for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Los Angeles, California area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
