Apprentice Electrician

Description:

As an Apprentice Electrician at the Samsung Semiconductor Plant in Taylor, Texas, you will be responsible for conduit installation, including measuring, cutting, threading, and bending EMT and RMC conduit, planning conduit runs, and pulling wires. Your duties will also include stripping wires, crimping and terminating connectors, working with terminal blocks and low-voltage cables (Cat5e), and adhering to OSHA and NEC safety rules.

Additional responsibilities include using hand and power tools, reading blueprints and wiring diagrams, labeling wires, and keeping panels organized. Teamwork, communication, and time management are emphasized.

You will support automation and control systems such as relays, contactors, and PLCs. You will use multimeters and cable testers for electrical testing and troubleshooting, and perform safety procedures including lockout/tagout.

Requirements:

OSHA 10 Certification. Licensed Apprentice Electrician with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations. Must work onsite in Taylor, Texas, Monday through Friday with a 6:30 am start. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.

Must possess a high mechanical aptitude, be organized, analytical, and physically able to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and climb for prolonged periods. Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds and be comfortable working at heights.
