Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Criminal Defense Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in criminal law, excellent trial skills, and a commitment to advocating for clients facing criminal charges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Represent clients in a variety of criminal cases
* Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including motions and pleadings.
* Develop defense strategies and manage all phases of litigation.
* Negotiate with prosecutors to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
* Prepare and present cases in court, including trials and hearings.
* Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and address concerns.
* Collaborate with other legal professionals to strengthen case strategies.
Qualifications:
* Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
* Active California State Bar license.
* Minimum of 2-7 years of experience in criminal defense.
* Strong understanding of California criminal law and procedures.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven trial experience and strong courtroom presence (preferred)
* Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make sound decisions.
* Commitment to ethical practice and client advocacy.
