Part of Dover Corporation’s Engineered Systems segment, Vehicle Service Group (VSG) is a strong, diverse and dynamic global leader in the vehicle service industry. VSG comprises 13 major vehicle lifting, wheel service, diagnostic and collision repair brands: Rotary Lift®, Chief®, Forward®, Direct-Lift®, Ravaglioli, Hanmecson®, Revolution®, Elektron, Blitz, Nogra, Butler, Space and Sirio.

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for contributing to VSG’s profitability by improving operator performance. This is done by displaying leadership qualities through his/her actions and words, by providing the necessary resources and support to operators as they are needed. This position works with employees within his/her areas of responsibility to assist operations in ensuring the proper fulfillment of customer orders and expectations. Duties will be to utilize the Oracle system to search for scheduled eligible orders to create pick waves and follow the process until invoiced.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

• Follows and adheres to all safety policies, including maintaining a safe and organized work area; PROMOTE SAFETY AS #1 PRIORITY
• Adheres to established standard work process and fully understands established quality standards to assure company quality guidelines.
• Provides work direction to operators within assigned cells
• Ensures that all Kanban items and supply items requested are turned into the appropriate areas
• Leads bi-weekly cycle counts upon direction of Supervisor
• Serves as a point of solution for cell abnormalities and either resolves issues or calls in other support as needed (example: Synchrono, Maintenance)
• Confirm that Power BI orders are printable with correct inventories.
• Verify that orders are staged correctly.
• Confirm inventory counts are correct.
• Responsible for overseeing the shipping paperwork and its accuracy.
• Verify flatbed loads are completed correctly.
• Trouble shoot shipping & order issues.
• Monitors production needs at all cells serviced to best prioritize materials to be provided; analyze and report on production detail reports as requested
• Must be able to use recent versions of Microsoft Office software.
• Establishes a lean vision for his/her processes and 5S improvement goals
• Using Oracle, and other online formats to process sales orders. Participate and assist in all housekeeping activities.
• Encourage and support team continuous improvement activities and direct team to resolve production problems. Implement continuous improvements in all shipping functions and improve area layout.
• Maintain and track each order in the warehouse and shipping yard. Know status of each order at any time.
• Initiate, maintain, and distribute pick slips to shipping associates. Coordinate with all departments for products and order status. Pulls orders through shipping.
• Become familiar with products and part numbers in the warehouse.
• Ensure timely and accurate scanning of closed orders to invoice. Enter all freight and shipping data, if necessary.
• Develop goals and operating policies consistent with overall Rotary Lift goals. Assist in developing team goals and performance measurements for the team.
• Ensure all orders are prepared and paperwork is accurate for RXO to plan export orders. Coordinate any special considerations and containers.

MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

• Track and coordinate show specials.

• Assist team in managing area inventory, electronically, and ordering supply materials.

• Perform other related duties as required.

• Adhere to and follow environmental policies and procedures.

• Attend and participate in all individual and team training activities. Serve as a trainer and facilitator as necessary.

CONTACTS (internal and external):

Extensive contact with team leaders, customer service support, sales, RXO, and operations personnel. Customer interface includes written, phone, and on-site visitation.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Advanced business training or college degree preferred.

Experience: Five years, or more, experience in manufacturing environment. Customer-oriented, with working knowledge of shipping procedures. Exceptional written and oral communication skills required. Must have solid computer skills and be familiar with Oracle system. Dedicated to continuous improvement and World Class Manufacturing.

Responsibility: Exercise moderate degree of judgment. Work as leader and supporter in various team and product related activities. Responsible for accurate and 100% on time delivery, and shipping area improvements.
