Job Description

AdvisaCare is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Home Health Intake Coordinator.

At AdvisaCare, we are committed to providing exceptional home health care services to our patients. As an Intake Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that benefit information, initial authorizations, and patient liability are obtained prior to the start of care.

Key responsibilities include verifying insurance coverage, documenting patient information accurately, obtaining necessary authorizations, and coordinating scheduling of clinical staff. You will also collaborate with discharge planners, referral sources, and insurance providers to ensure smooth patient placement and service initiation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Previous experience in home health care, insurance verification, and medical billing is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably Wellsky/Kinnser ( preferred but not required)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
