Immediate opening for Industrial Electrician in the Vandalia, OH area! Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, controls, motors, and lighting systems in an industrial setting.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform corrective actions to restore equipment functionality.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and electrical systems.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Use a variety of tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support equipment upgrades and plant improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Assist in training junior electricians or apprentices as needed.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program.
- Valid electrician license or journeyman certification (as required by jurisdiction).
- 3+ years of experience as an industrial or commercial electrician.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, high-voltage equipment, PLCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems.
- Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in confined spaces or at heights.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or shifts as needed.
- Experience in manufacturing, food processing, automotive, or heavy industry.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- OSHA 10/30 or other industrial safety certifications.
Schedule: Night Shift
