MUSEUM TECHNICIAN (LIMITED TERM - FULLTIME) DIABLO RANGE DISTRICT / LOCKE BOARDING HOUSE MUSEUM / LOCKE, CA
The reporting location for this position is Locke Boarding House Museum in the town of Locke, CA. This position will work under the supervision of the State Historian III.
The Diablo Range District is looking for an energetic individual to join the Cultural Resources program to help in maintaining the district's museum collections. In addition to experience in museum collection care, the individual should have strong organizational skills, work ethic, and team orientation for a challenging position at a new District. The Museum Technician is responsible for work in collections documentation, housekeeping, artifact preventative conservation, and maintenance and acquisition, and other collection activities.
This position is a 12-month Limited-Term position that may be extended and/or become permanent.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
