POSITION OVERVIEW – WHAT YOU’LL DO
Reporting to the Program Director you will have an unparalleled opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, big-thinking, mission-driven organization. This unique role directly supports and influences the work of one of the nation’s leading health philanthropies.
You will have the opportunity to lead projects, manage key Foundation initiatives, and facilitate the completion of projects with high importance and visibility. Specifically, you will be leading and supporting the Foundation’s programs and initiatives to address issues and challenges impacting the public health field, including capacity, communications, policy, and partnerships, and other high-impact and high-visibility projects. Your responsibilities will vary and require you to prioritize effectively, act quickly, maintain confidentiality, and bring others along. This position will have a significant influence on the Foundation’s commitment to providing practical tools, resources, and partnerships that enhance the sustainability and effectiveness of public health as a science and a practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES
Your day-to-day work will include activities such as:
Managing day-to-day operations of simultaneous high-priority Foundation projects with complex external communications plans and often with high stakes constituents
Contributing to strategic decision-making and problem-solving by providing timely and relevant information, input, and recommendations
Independently coordinating with other Foundation staff including Communications, and Research and Evaluation leads to ensure that programs have strong marketing/communications, dissemination, and impact measurement plans
Developing and implementing project workplans while maintaining an understanding of program strategy, projects, timelines, deliverables, and due dates and ensure timely completion of all tasks
Managing external stakeholder relationships with partners and grantees to ensure that programs meet both the Foundation’s strategic goals and the needs of the public health workforce

Preparing meeting agendas and manage follow up on internal and external meetings. When needed, lead meetings and follow up with the relevant parties
Identifying and prioritizing specific policy, program, and practice goals and outcomes grounded in evidence and centering equity
Contributing to drafting and co-author blogs, commentaries, books and book chapters, and peer-reviewed articles
Conceiving and planning Foundation special meetings and events
Serving as a trusted advisor to the leadership team providing candid opinions and constructive feedback on Foundation matters impacting the public health workforce
Conducting research, create PowerPoint Presentations, and draft speeches and talking points for external and internal presentations and speaking engagements
QUALIFICATIONS – WHO YOU ARE
To be successful in this job, you excel in these areas:
You are a pragmatic, results-oriented, hands-on public health professional with a successful track record in developing and managing strategies and programs impacting the public health sector including but not limited to local governments, policymakers, and philanthropic institutions. You have experience, deep exposure, and/or subject matter expertise in leading or managing programs or initiatives impacting governmental public health systems and departments. You will be able to demonstrate each of the following:

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This is a full-time position based in downtown Bethesda, MD, just outside of Washington, DC. de Beaumont follows a hybrid work model, with employees working in the office on some days and from home on others; individual schedules are confirmed with direct supervisors. All employees are required to attend (at a minimum) in-person bi-monthly team meetings, as well as twice-yearly weeklong all-staff meetings at the Bethesda office.
The compensation offered for this role is competitive and is commensurate with the candidate’s experience. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $115,000. In addition to competitive compensation, the Foundation provides outstanding benefits that include 100% paid employee health benefits, AD&D and life insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, generous paid time off, 14 weeks of paid parental leave, monthly tech stipend, and health & wellness program. The Foundation fosters a collaborative and supportive work environment and has been designated a “Great Place to Work.”
