Job Description

About The Position

Cobalt currently has an opening for an entry-level C# Software Developer for product development, client implementations, and sustainment of Cobalt’s products. Our products are mobile and browser-based CRM applications that make substantial use of web services. These applications are built on top of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. This C# developer position will play a primary role on our cross-functional scrum team, so candidates must be interested in working closely with a small team of technical individuals to produce excellent quality products and implementations while focusing on code reusability and flexibility.

Successful hires in this position are generally recent computer science graduates looking for training and experience as a professional software developer. They are self-motivated, interested in the process of developing complex software systems, and enjoy collaborating with other technically minded people. They also have strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Primary Duties

  • As a member of our cross-functional agile team, you will collaborate closely with other team members including technical leads, project managers, product owners, customer support, and other developers to drive the success of our product and projects. You’ll be responsible for participating in all scrum ceremonies (like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprints, and retrospective meetings), contributing to discussions on product features and client-specific software, and actively working to achieve sprint goals and deliverables. In addition, you will help maintain transparency by providing updates on tasks and ensuring alignment with the team's overall goals.
  • You will work on projects geared towards extending code, CRM based products, and individualized client implementations. This aspect of the role emphasizes working on diverse projects that extend existing codebases, developing new features for Cobalt’s CRM-based systems, and catering to specific client requirements. You will participate in the entire development lifecycle from gathering requirements and designing solutions to implementing, testing, and deploying features. This involves customizing CRM systems to meet unique business needs, integrating with other systems or APIs, and ensuring that the software aligns with the client's goals and expectations.
  • Cobalt is always working to enhance our product for our clients. As part of our development team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our ongoing product development efforts on the Cobalt product.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science
  • Object-oriented programming knowledge
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Requirements gathering and documentation skills
  • Enjoy working with and designing cloud-based systems
