About the Role & Team:

run Disney engages Guests of all ages through a running lifestyle, culminating with events delivered in a way that could only happen at Disney.   run Disney is the single endurance brand for the Walt Disney Company and the  run Disney Sports Development Team is responsible for the development and integration of the  run Disney brand both domestic and international across identified race weekends.  The team works closely with a variety of WDP&R partners to ensure all relevant organizational goals and implications are appropriately considered.  Through careful planning and attention to detail this team ensures our guests have a truly valuable experience.

This is an hourly Full Time role reporting to the Walt Disney World run Disney Team, part of the Sports Development organization.

What You Will Do:

Assist with the creative development and execution of runDisney events, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for participants. This position will support the design and approval of athlete amenities, contribute to race theming, and develop event style guides to maintain brand consistency. Additionally, the role will assist in Guest communication efforts, assist with registration data to inform event strategies, and provide on-site support during event weekends. The position will collaborate with key partners across WDP&R and EWWS, including Marketing, CIMA, Commercial, Corporate Alliance, Event Management, Finance, and third-party vendors, to align creative and operational objectives with broader organizational goals. Strong relationship-building skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with strategy development and program launch of new projects for the runDisney brand

  • Ability to work in a team environment and comfortable working independently on tasks

  • Assist with design, and approval of athlete amenities

  • Contribute to the development and execution of creative themes for each runDisney race (onsite and virtual) and Club runDisney ensuring alignment with brand standards and audience expectations. 

  • Create comprehensive style guides to ensure cohesive visual and thematic elements across all aspects of event weekends, Virtual Events and Club runDisney.  

  • Assist in timely communications to enhance the Guest experience and keep participants informed.  

  • Assist with registration data to identify trends

  • Provide hands-on assistance during runDisney event weekends, including staffing the expo booth and ensuring a seamless experience for participants and Guests.

  • Assist with research and bench marketing information from both internal and external resources

  • Assist with deck compilation for future projects and presentations

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven strong background in strong relationship skills

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments

  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Strong Microsoft Suites knowledge: Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.), Keynote and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Current valid U.S. driver’s license

  • Operating a company vehicle is required for this role. Candidate must be willing and able to operate a company vehicle under inclement weather, including minimal lightning

  • Must have ability to adapt quickly and proactively to evolving events, and to thrive in an extremely fast paced and high-pressure working environment.

  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including days, nights, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience at Walt Disney World 

  • 2+ years of event related sports coordinator or business coordinator experience at Walt Disney World

Required Education :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience

Preferred Education :

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Sports Management
