Job Description
We're seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you'll apply accounting principles to analyze financial information, reconcile accounts, and prepare supporting reports. Your expertise will help compile and analyze financial data to ensure accurate business transactions are recorded. This position offers an exciting opportunity to primarily support general ledger management, financial reporting, and business analytics, with a direct reporting line to the Controller. Collaboration with other departments is key to success in this role. Additionally, there is the potential for partial remote work after you've established core competencies and a strong understanding of company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are accurate and balanced.
Assist with monthly billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing management.
Support the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries.
Prepare and analyze monthly workpapers, ensuring the accuracy of income statement and balance sheet accounts.
Assist with various ancillary reports, including business trend analysis, cost evaluations, revenue tracking, and financial commitment assessments.
Leverage technology to streamline accounting processes and improve business efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in accounting practices and trends.
Foster a collaborative working relationship with operational business leaders and contribute to a dynamic, evolving environment.
Perform other duties as required to support the accounting function.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA certification preferred.
Knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles.
At least 3 years of experience in mid-size corporate accounting roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Microsoft365.
Experience with Sage Intacct or aviation systems is a plus.
